Mike's Beach Resort is the perfect place for an active vacation for the whole family.
Kids can enjoy our waterfront playground, and the whole family can relax on our private beach, and swim in the warm surface water of Hood Canal in the summer. The top 20 feet reach temperatures in the 70's.
Catch or gather your own dinner, starting on our private clam and oyster beach . Good fishing and crabbing is within a 5 minutes' row. Shrimpers find themselves in the heart of spot prawn territory right offshore.
Boat lovers will appreciate our dock and mooring buoys. We launch boats up to 30 feet in length, and safely moor larger boats. If you don't have a boat, we rent rowboats and a paddleboat, or try out a stable sit-on-top single or double Ocean Kayak.
Mike's Beach has long been a respected scuba diving destination. The waters just off the beach are popular with classes and new divers, while experienced divers will enjoy the deeper reefs to the south.
Hiking, mountain biking, and mountaineering are all easily accessible from Mike's Beach. We're located right in the heart of road and trail access to the eastern Olympic National Forest and Olympic National Park, and make a good basecamp for day trips ranging from tame to wild.
Nature viewing is always a thrill on the Olympic Peninsula, and Mike's Beach Resort offers it all- deer and elk from the forest, bald eagles fishing from shore, seals lounging on the surface, and Giant Pacific Octopus underwater.
And if all this leaves you tuckered out by evening, why not join us in the Cinema Room for classic 16 mm films and current videos? We have a great collection of scuba videos, old Sea Hunt and Flipper episodes, and all the sound Laurel and Hardy movies made, shown on a 14 foot mylar screen.
